We believe very strongly in creating a happy, fun and supportive environment - a true sense of being a team of people, selling the best of travel, around the country. Become a part of the team that enjoys travel itself as much as we enjoy selling it, while working as an independent broker.
The benefits to you…
High Rewards – You keep the major share of the commission you earn.
Strong Relationships - We are in partnership with New Zealand’s leading travel package supplier – GO Holidays, as well as receiving preferred relationships with amoungst others Adventure World, Insight & Trafalgar Tours, Globus/Cosmos Tours, P & O cruises, Sunlover holidays and airlines including Qantas, Air New Zealand, Emirates and Singapore Airlines
Low Costs – By working from home and because all of our consultants are brokers, means we keep our costs low – so we all get to make more.
What we offer…
The central office handles all of the accounting side of the business for you – leaving you to concentrate on your clients. There are no on-going fees for our inhouse processing of your accounts documentation on each file.
We also assist you in marketing yourself and your services.
Our website receives enquiries which are shared amongst the brokers based on geographical location and/or special knowledge.
We also strive to secure nationwide accounts which may result in clients being passed onto you.
Here is your opportunity to become part of an innovative and enjoyable travel organisation, designed to make your profession of selling travel easy and profitable. We offer your clients all the usual aspects of travel that any retail shop-front agency offers - in an informative and service oriented way. We offer the best value travel bookings and holiday packages available from all sources.
What is a travel broker?
A travel broker is a travel agent who operates from a home office, or other location, operating their own business (as a GST registered person), in a partnership with a bonded and licensed travel agency.
For a travel agency to operate they are licensed with IATA (International Air Transport Association) and bonded for consumer protection with the Travel Agents Association (TAANZ).
How does it work?
You are connected to our agency via the internet and have your own CRS (airline reservations system) on your computer and all your transactions and client files are processed via our website to the head office of Frontier Travel based in Auckland.
As a broker for Frontier Travel, you can offer your clients everything that a normal travel agency can offer including: all airlines, wholesale packages, rental cars, insurance, cruises, tours, hotels and so forth.
Companies and airlines pay a commission or we include booking fees when making bookings for our clients. The ‘gross margin’ or commission is your income. It averages 10% of each booking (although we strive to show you how to make higher earning bookings).
The average travel broker will book between $ 300,000 and $ 600,000 in travel each year (once established). A top broker can book $ 1 million dollars each year.
