Al fresco dining is also on offer. Day 1: Split – Pula Embark in Split and after a welcome reception, set sail to Pula, situated in southern Croatia. Day 2: Pula Reach Pula early morning. Considered the heart of the Istria region, Pula spreads over seven hills. Choose to join an optional half day excursion showcasing important Roman monuments, including the beautifully preserved Arena and the Hercules Gate, the town’s oldest monument. B L Day 3: Pula – Venice Sail into the city of love and culture today. With elegant carved gondolas that ply the Grand Canal, to the magnificent Piazza San Marco, Venice is a unique city. Take an optional tour which includes Basilica di San Marco and the Doge’s Palace, with time to admire great Renaissance Masters’ art work in the Academia and at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore this romantic city at your own pace. B L Day 4: Venice – Rovinj Return to Croatia this morning, to Rovinj, an interesting bilingual city. For optional touring today take in the quaint old town, the Saint Benedict Gate, and the Holy Cross Gate, or choose to visit the abandoned medieval town of Dvigrad. Alternatively, just relax and explore Rovinj at leisure. B L Day 5: Rovinj – Zadar Arrive into Zadar, a fortified town located on the Adriatic Sea. Zadar is known for its historical sites, fantastic geographical location and string of islands. Choose to join a city tour, including sites such as the 19th century waterfront and the symbolic church of St Donat. The afternoon remains free for personal exploration. B L Day 6: Zadar – Siebenik Sail to Croatia’s oldest native town, Siebenik. Little streets lead to attractive squares where modern shop windows unite with the stylish architecture of vanished centuries. An optional half day walking tour takes in the UNESCO World Heritage site of St Jacob’s Cathedral, made completely of stone in the 15th and 16th centuries. B L Day 7: Siebenik – Hvar Depart Siebenik in the early hours, sailing to the lush and beautiful Hvar Island. The island served as an important harbour for Venice's Adriatic from the 12th to 18th centuries. Today’s optional touring includes a walk to soak up the relaxed rhythms of island life, journeying from the Renaissance cathedral to the Franciscan Monastery. B L Day 8: Hvar – Split Sail to Split to conclude your arrangements on the Pegasus. Disembark on arrival.
